A Trustee is someone who owns the legal title to property held in trust. The Trustee holds the property for the benefit of the beneficiaries of the trust in a fiduciary capacity. This means that the Trustee owes a legal duty of loyalty and care to the beneficiaries of the trust. A Trustee can be a natural person (usually a trusted family member or friend) or a bank or trust company.
