Shareholder

A shareholder (also called a stockholder) is a person or entity that owns shares of stock in a corporation. Shareholders are the owners of the corporation and typically have the right to vote on major decisions, elect the board of directors, and receive dividends. Their personal liability is generally limited to the amount they invested.
