Power of Attorney

A power of attorney is a document which allows a person to act on behalf of another. These documents cover certain powers and rights relating to health care and financial decisions, to decisions regarding whether to place the principal into a long-term care facility. So long as the power of attorney is valid, third-parties may rely on the decisions made by the attorney-in-fact instead of the principal.
