Non-Compete Agreement

A non-compete agreement is a contract in which one party agrees not to compete with another party for a specified period of time and within a certain geographic area. These are commonly used by employers to prevent employees from leaving and immediately starting or joining a competing business. Missouri courts will enforce non-compete agreements if the restrictions are reasonable in scope, duration, and geography.
